Lindsey Wamsley MA, LPC, TBRI ® Practitioner
Lindsey Wamsley grew up in North Richland Hills, TX. She spent her young life exploring nature, feeding deer on her grandparents ranch, and dancing on a stage for 16 years. She is a performer, dreamer, coffee drinker, creative thinker, and lover of all things cats. During her teen years Lindsey battled an eating disorder and struggled with substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. After many years of counseling Lindsey worked hard to find healing in her relationships and healthier ways of coping. This experience radically transformed her life and the ways that she dealt with her emotions and trauma. Lindsey hopes to bring a light to the life of every individual she meets. She wants everyone to know that their story matters and there’s no problem too big that can’t be worked through.
Lindsey received her bachelors of arts in psychology at the University of North Texas where she worked on research work looking at attachment relationships within families. She received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Lindsey is a licensed counselor through the state of Texas (LPC). Her specialty training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI ® Practitioner), Attachment Theory, Sand-Tray Therapy, and Play therapy. She has worked for various non-profits in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where she worked specifically with survivors of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. She has been counseling in private practice for 10 years. Taking a compassion filled approach, Lindsey helps individuals tap in to their inner strength and find new ways of approaching difficult things in their life that prevent thriving.
